Finding the door
Himitsu is inside Alba, at Dubai Opera Plaza. There is no separate entrance from the street, and no sign.
- Come into Alba and give your name.
- You will be walked to a white door most guests never notice.
- Behind it: a red velvet curtain, then a short dark corridor lit low and red.
- Fifteen seats at the other end.
Hours
Wednesday – Saturday, from 7pm till 1am.
Omakase at the counter, 6pm and 8pm.
A DJ plays every Friday from 10pm.
Parking
Valet parking at Dubai Opera Plaza carries a AED 25 charge, set by the Downtown Dubai community parking regulations. Present your valet ticket and we take the AED 25 off your bill.

There are no walk-ins. Fifteen seats means every one of them is spoken for before the night starts.

Smart. The room is small and everyone in it can see everyone else.

Other guests are a few feet away. Photograph your own table, not the room.

Where is Himitsu?
Inside Alba, at Dubai Opera Plaza on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai. Himitsu has no street entrance of its own — you come in through Alba.
Can I walk in?
No. Himitsu is reservation only. The room holds fifteen seats, so the night is fully booked before it begins.
How do I book?
Reserve online, or message us on WhatsApp. For a full buy-out, a private event or a corporate booking, use the enquiry form.
Is there parking?
Yes — valet at Dubai Opera Plaza. Under the Downtown Dubai community parking regulations the valet now carries a AED 25 charge; present your valet ticket at Himitsu and we take the AED 25 off your bill.
How big is Himitsu?
Fifteen seats, in roughly 800 square feet. The interior is by Tristan Du Plessis.
Is there a menu?
Not a printed one. Drinks are composed on the Kagi, a wooden box whose rings you turn yourself, and guests leave with a postcard rather than a bill of fare.
Is there food?
Yes — an omakase food and drink experience at the counter, where the drinks are composed against the courses rather than ordered alongside them.
Can I book Himitsu for a private event?
Yes. Fifteen seats makes it a genuine buy-out rather than a section of a larger room. Enquiries go through the events form.
